Paul offers personal therapy and clinical supervision for trainees or newly qualified/qualified professionals in the ‘talking therapies’ or DMP.

He is a Dance Movement Psychotherapist (ADMP-UK), a Gestalt Practitioner (UKAGP) and an Accredited Registrant (NCPS).

He has previously worked at Derby University as an Associate Lecturer teaching on the MA in Dance Movement Psychotherapy and BA Hons in Creative Expressive Therapies.

Before that he worked in a NHS dedicated sexual health service as the senior health promotion officer – young men and social inclusion, and as a therapist in its integrated counselling and psychotherapy service.

He has recently retired from formal teaching as a tutor at Maple Leaf Counselling and Training Centre teaching CPCAB Level 4 and Level 5 Therapeutic and Psychotherapeutic Counselling programmes.

In his spare time he enjoys creative writing, storytelling, creating and delivering a range of workshops for therapists and improvisational clowning.


Originally from Stratford-upon-Avon, England, he studied at Warwick, Coventry and Roehampton Universities. He worked in Further Education, the NHS and Higher Education, and is now based in Coventry, UK.

He has a PhD in Dance/Cultural Studies.

He loves books, writing, clowning, dancing, therapy, education, chocolate and wine.
